
The 2025 ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League (GSL) T20 was officially launched last evening, setting the stage for an exciting return of the international T20 tournament, which will run from July 10 to 18 at Providence Stadium.
Organised under the leadership of Cricket West Indies and chaired by Sir Clive Lloyd, the tournament will feature five top-tier franchises: Guyana Amazon Warriors, Rangpur Riders (Bangladesh), Hobart Hurricanes (Australia), Central Stags (New Zealand), and Dubai Capitals (UAE). The format follows a single round-robin stage with 10 matches leading up to the grand final on July 18.
The launch event introduced the tournament’s trophy and highlighted team details, match schedules, and fan engagement initiatives. Guyana Amazon Warriors will feature international and regional stars including Moeen Ali, Imran Tahir, Shimron Hetmyer, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
The tournament is supported by a growing list of sponsors, including ExxonMobil, Limacol, Demerara Bank, ENet, and Champion, all contributing to a prize pool of US $1 million.
Tickets for all matches are currently on sale, ranging from GYD 500 to GYD 5,000, and are available at the Guyana Amazon Warriors Box Office on Camp Street as well as online platforms.
The action begins on July 10 with Central Stags taking on Dubai Capitals in the afternoon match, followed by the home team Guyana Amazon Warriors clashing with the defending champions Rangpur Riders in the evening fixture under lights.
The 2025 Global Super League T20 is set to deliver high-quality cricket, vibrant entertainment, and a celebration of sport and culture in Guyana.
