Assistance available for unreceived cash grants

General Secretary of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP), Dr Bharrat Jagdeo, is urging individuals who have not yet received their $100,000 cash grant cheques to contact the dedicated WhatsApp number 760-2929 for assistance.
Speaking at his weekly press conference held at Freedom House on Thursday, Dr Jagdeo acknowledged that a small number of individuals have reached out to him directly, noting that while the system indicates their cheques have been printed, some beneficiaries are still awaiting delivery or collection.
“We’ve asked that they put out a number… anyone who has any query, whether you did not receive your cash grant cheque or it’s still showing as printed but not delivered, please contact 760-2929,” he said.
Dr Jagdeo assured that all queries sent to this number will be addressed. He further stated that if persons are unable to get through using that channel, they may contact his office for further assistance.
The cash grant forms part of the government’s wider interventionist policies aimed at easing the cost-of-living pressures across the country, alongside subsidies on transportation, fuel, electricity, and internet services.
