Tensions escalated on Monday following the announcement of the post-mortem results, which confirmed that Adrianna Younger, 11, died by drowning.
The child had been reported as abducted last Wednesday while on a family outing at the Double Day Hotel, East Bank Essequibo.
She was later discovered in a pool at the same hotel the following day. Earlier searches of that very pool had turned up empty-handed.
