The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) is inviting citizens to share ideas on projects they would like to see implemented over the next five years.

According to the party’s General Secretary, Dr Bharrat Jagdeo, these ideas will be considered, and selected ones will be added to the party’s 2025 Manifesto.

Speaking at his weekly press conference last Thursday, Dr Jagdeo highlighted that the party has launched a WhatsApp number to allow citizens to send in their ideas.

He further noted that individuals can also share their suggestions through drop-in mails by putting them on paper, sealing them in envelopes, and depositing them in boxes provided at any local party office across the country or at Freedom House.

Dr Jagdeo explained that this is one of the reasons why the party has not yet launched its manifesto in light of the upcoming elections.

The PPP, he said, is thinking of finding solutions to problems faced by the citizens, and in this regard, would like to hear directly from them.

The General Secretary emphasised that the party is focused on practical commitments.

The General Secretary said his party does not only make promises but think of solutions, things that are practical and can be delivered on.

dditionally, he acknowledged that while not every submission can be included, each one will be carefully reviewed.

He also explained that the PPP cannot include every idea/project submitted in its manifesto but assured that all proposal will be taken very seriously.
