Commuters have been advised to follow alternate routes following the closure of the Strathspey Bridge on the Railway Embankment due to ongoing construction.
Motorists travelling west along the Embankment or north from Enterprise are asked to proceed further north along Coldingen Access Road and merge with the East Coast Public Road.
Drivers heading east along the Railway Embankment should proceed north along Strathspey Access Road and merge with the East Coast Public Road for onward travel.
Traffic Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mahendra Singh, spoke to Ignite News, emphasising that traffic ranks will be deployed to manage the flow of vehicles and ensure motorists avoid dangerous or reckless driving.
He urged drivers to follow police instructions and plan their journeys to minimise delays.
The closure of the bridge follows the collapse of a section of it on Thursday afternoon. Public Works Minister Bishop Juan Edghill visited the site and assured that the necessary traffic management measures have been put in place.
The area remains off-limits due to safety concerns, and all road users are urged to exercise caution while travelling through the area.
