Women’s tapeball cricket will take centre stage at the Albion Sports Complex tonight as Team Lotto and Team Let’sBet go head-to-head in a high-octane exhibition match as part of the One Guyana T10 Tapeball Blast.
With over $200,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs, the six-over-per-side contest promises rapid-fire action under lights, featuring some of the country’s top talent in an evening showcase set to bowl off at 18:00h.
It follows two semi-finals in the male competition, then the final at 19:30h.
The match pits West Indies international Shabika Gajnabi against fellow national teammate Cherry-Ann Fraser in a battle of tactics and power-hitting.
Gajnabi captains a formidable Team Lotto side boasting dynamic top-order presence in Realeanna Grimmond and Shenta Grimmond, alongside Trisha Hardat, Mandy Abrahams, and Trisha Singh.
Lotto’s squad is completed by Chrystal Durant, Aleema Akrouim, Susan Davanand, Linda Stephen, Nickacise Osborne, and Tiffeny Larose, providing a well-rounded combination of stroke-makers and bowling options.
Countering them is a depth-heavy Team Let’sBet unit led by Fraser, who commands a line-up anchored by seasoned spinner Plafianna Millington, all-rounder Mandy Mangru, and Temica Wilson.
