Laine Avenue man remanded over fatal Albouystown stabbing

A 28-year-old man from Laine Avenue was on Friday remanded to prison after appearing in court on a murder charge in connection with a fatal incident in Albouystown, Georgetown.

Shane Bourne appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before acting Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty to answer to the charge.

Bourne is accused of murdering Travere Ridley, also known as “Arthur”, on January 29, 2026 at James Street, Albouystown.

The court was told that the prosecution is awaiting disclosure of statements, and that the case file remains incomplete.
Bourne was remanded to prison.
The matter was adjourned to June 3, 2026
