MVP Sports Store has thrown its support behind youth female football development, presenting a substantial cheque to the Petra Organisation on Thursday to sponsor the 2025 Girls’ U11 Pee Wee Football Competition.
The tournament will run from November 15 to December 6 at the Ministry of Education Ground, featuring 16 elite primary school teams competing for glory and significant prize money.
CEO Ian Ramdeo emphasised the critical need for strong tournament support at the grassroots level, noting that while club training is valuable, competitive tournaments provide the essential stepping stone for young athletes to transition toward regional and international opportunities.
The competition will follow a round-robin format during the group stage, with 16 teams divided into four groups of four. The top two finishers from each group will advance to the knockout stages, progressing through the round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.
The tournament offers substantial incentives to recognize excellence across multiple categories. The winning team will receive $100,000 for a school project of their choice, along with trophies and medals. The second-place team will earn $75,000, while third place will receive $50,000.
