Motorcyclist dies after crashing into concrete fence

A 32-year-old motorcyclist died on Thursday after he crashed into a concrete fence on the Number 2 Public Road, West Coast Berbice, police said.

Azim Khan of Bath Settlement was riding east along the road when he reportedly lost control while negotiating a left turn and collided with the fence, authorities said.

He was taken unconscious to Bath Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. His body is at the hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.

Police said investigations into the incident are ongoing.
