Paul “Randell” Daby Jr. was released on $1 million bail earlier today following a 72-hour detention in connection with an ongoing police investigation into a shooting incident that occurred last Saturday night.
The shooting targeted Lolita Callender, also known as “Lola Doll,” near her parked vehicle at Texas Square, East Ruimveldt. CCTV footage reportedly captured a motorcyclist circling the area before returning and firing multiple rounds at Callender’s vehicle, striking her several times.
Authorities have also detained another man said to be connected to Daby Jr. That individual was previously released on $500,000 bail. It remains unclear what specific evidence led law enforcement to detain either man, as investigations continue.
Callender had earlier taken to social media, claiming her life was in danger and suggesting that an ongoing personal conflict with Daby Jr. may have escalated to violence.
Police have not yet confirmed whether Daby Jr. will face charges, but they emphasised that inquiries into the incident are active and ongoing.
