Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar will undertake an official visit to Guyana as part of efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation and advance a joint development, trade and economic agenda agreed with President Dr Irfaan Ali.
The announcement followed a bilateral engagement between the two leaders in Port of Spain, where they discussed expanding cooperation in food security, investment, energy integration, technology exchange, human capital development and security.
They also agreed to establish a working group, including private sector representatives from both countries, to address trade barriers and improve competitiveness.
A broader agenda was set to strengthen integration between the two economies and peoples, with both sides identifying opportunities for increased collaboration and investment flows.
President Ali thanked Persad-Bissessar for her support of Guyana’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, expressing appreciation on behalf of the people of Guyana.
