A total of 520 families received Agreements of Sale and began the process for Certificates of Title, while 241 residents were allocated house lots during a two-day housing drive in Region Six.
The outreach, hosted by the Ministry of Housing–Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) at the Classic Hotel and Suites in Corriverton, surpassed its initial target of processing ownership documents for 450 allottees.
Beneficiaries included residents from No. 75 (Block 2) and No. 76 (Blocks 3 and 4) Housing Developments. The 241 additional allocations were made at the Moleson Creek Housing Scheme.
Housing Minister Collin Croal, Minister within the Ministry Vanessa Benn, and CH&PA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Martin Pertab led the exercise, engaging residents and addressing concerns.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to accelerate homeownership and regularise property ownership in the region. Banking institutions, insurance providers and Guyana Water Incorporated were on site to facilitate access to essential services for beneficiaries.
