In a thrilling showdown at the CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Qualifiers, Guyana emerged victorious with a stunning 2–0 triumph over host nation Aruba at Stadion Guillermo Prospero Trinidad.
The match was marked by exceptional performances from Anaya Joseph and Adrianna Chin, who both played pivotal roles in securing the win. Joseph opened the scoring in the 26th minute, capitalising on a brilliant assist from Alexaudria Chasles.

Chasles struck again in the 88th minute, weaving through defenders to deliver a pinpoint assist to Chin. The late goal not only sealed the victory but also boosted Guyana’s spirits, ensuring they finished third in the competitive five-team group following their earlier draw with Jamaica.
As the Lady Jags prepare for their upcoming matches against Honduras (31 January) and St Vincent and the Grenadines (2 February), the stage is set for more electrifying action in the tournament.
