Police, village leaders hold community outreach in Kauraudarnau

Officers of the Aishalton Police Station joined with local leadership on Friday, November 21, 2025, to conduct a community outreach in Kauraudarnau Village, South Rupununi.

The team included Inspector H. Sutherland and Constables Buckley and Miguel, along with Toshao Apollos Isaacs.

The engagement focused on strengthening ties between law enforcement and residents, promoting trust, and addressing public safety concerns.

Throughout the session, police officers discussed several key issues affecting the village, including the prohibition of alcohol sales, domestic violence, illegal drug use and distribution, cattle rustling, sexual offenses, noise nuisance, and the importance of reporting unlawful activities to the police station.

Officers also explained the procedure for obtaining a driver’s licence.

Villagers raised questions about challenges within the community, and Inspector Sutherland responded to each concern during the discussion.

At the conclusion of the outreach, Toshao Isaacs expressed his appreciation to Inspector Sutherland and his team for meeting with residents and addressing their concerns.
