An additional 25 influential Guyanese women leaders are set to be honoured at a prestigious award ceremony at the Georgetown Marriott Hotel, when the 25 Influential Women Leaders Award return on May 17.
The sixth annual award ceremony, organised by the 25 Influential Women Leaders Award, The NICO Consulting and Cerulean Inc., is one of Guyana’s most celebrated leadership honours.
The programme recognises women who exemplify exceptional leadership, innovation, and transformative impact across industries and communities.
This year’s nominees list was revealed on February 3, as nominations wrapped up on February 2.
The programme builds on a legacy of empowering women leaders across diverse sectors, including education, healthcare, business, and social services.
Its mission is to celebrate not only professional success, but also community upliftment and sustainable change.
Co-creator of the Award and Founder/Chief Executive of The NICO Consulting, Michelle A. Nicholas reaffirmed that the initiative highlights the remarkable achievements of women, whose contributions inspire others to lead with vision and purpose.
“We are proud to provide a platform that honours transformative leadership while encouraging ongoing empowerment,” she added.
Co-Creator Lyndell Danzie- Black also emphasised that the award is more than just a celebration.
“It’s a movement to honour the trailblazers, visionaries, and change-makers who redefine excellence and inspire the next generation. This is our opportunity to amplify the voices of phenomenal women whose stories inspire action and resilience,” she stated.
Nominees are evaluated on criteria, such as professional achievements, commitment to community development, and alignment with the principles of transformative leadership.
This year’s awardees will join a distinguished network of honourees, gaining access to exclusive opportunities such as the Women’s Leadership Programme.
